Gain insight from a working Broadway actor

Broadway star, Hampshire native, and high school friend of mine, Sean Doherty, will be in town for a performance with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra. While he is in town, he has graciously agreed to do an acting and vocal workshop with my students! If you would like to perform a monologue or 32-bar cut of a song, Sean will provide feedback on your performance, giving insight from a working Broadway actor. Sean recently gave a similar workshop at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania.

Sean Doherty

 An actor, singer, and songwriter, Sean has been seen in theatrical productions in New York City and around the world, including the Off-Broadway hit Teeth, the national tour of the Alanis Morrisette musical Jagged Little Pill, and the world-premieres of both Men With Money and Eighty-Sixed. He also toured the globe singing pop and jazz hits in shows such as Shades of Bublé, NYC3, and Bachelors of Broadway. Born and raised in Hampshire, IL he currently resides in New York City. His original music is available on all streaming services, and he will be also seen in the upcoming film Spirit Tasting directed by Chris LaMartina.
